A blastocyst is an embryo that has developed for five to six days after fertilisation. In blastocyst transfer, embryos are cultured in the laboratory incubator to the blastocyst stage before they are transferred to the womb. When embryos are transferred to the womb at the Blastocyst stage (4 to 6 days after insemination, rather than 2 or 3 days after insemination as with conventional IVF), pregnancy rates may be improved.
We at Orrchid Fertility Centre have the necessary expertise and experience to culture the embryos to blastocyst stage on a routine basis for better implantation and success rates.
